Making Offers
We ask that employers understand the pressures placed on students seeking employment at this time of year, and ask that employers act in ways that support the ability of candidates to make independent and considered decisions by:
  • Establishing reasonable response deadlines and giving candidates a reasonable period of time to consider offers of employment when each offer is made.
  • Providing consideration for reasonable extension requests.
  • Abiding by the established response deadlines for candidate responses.
  • Avoiding conduct that places candidates under undue pressure to accept or decline offers of employment; and,
  • Refraining from any activity that may adversely affect the ability of candidates to make independent and considered decisions.
The previous NALP guidelines indicated two weeks following an offer as “reasonable”, and we request that employers consider holding offers open for at least one week in keeping with the spirit of these guidelines.
Anti-harassment and Non-discrimination Policies
Unlawful harassment and discrimination, in all of their forms, are strictly prohibited at PIPS Day. All participating employers and students–regardless of which school they attend–should report directly to UC Law San Francisco (UC Law SF) any conduct that violates its policies.

To review UC Law SF's policy and to report prohibited conduct, please visit:
https://uclawsf.edu/anti-discrimination-harassment/

Please also review UC Law SF’s other policies that govern on-campus recruitment here: https://uclawsf.edu/careers/policies-standards/

The University of California College of the Law, San Francisco prohibits discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, gender transition status, sex- or gender-stereotyping, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition (e.g., cancer-related or genetic characteristics), genetic information (including family medical history), ancestry, marital status, citizenship, or service in the uniformed services, including protected veterans. This policy is intended to be consistent with applicable state and federal laws and the law school’s policies.
